President’s Message by Shari Safra
I invite you to join me and create your own AMIT journey.
I invite you to join me and create your own AMIT journey.
As AMIT has done for over a century, we’re helping change the narrative of education in Israel—this time, with a revolutionary new teacher training program in partnership with Bar-Ilan University: Amitim.
The world is changing rapidly and with it, the way we live and learn. Today’s children are growing up in an increasingly digital world, and that means educators need to rethink the way they reach these students.
Meet Simcha Assarsai, 47, an alumna of AMIT Kfar Blatt Youth Village in Petach Tikvah, and a shining example of the life-changing impact of education and the human spirit’s ability to bounce back from adversity.
AMIT hosted the official groundbreaking event for its new Kfar Batya campus, marking AMIT’s 15-year commitment to the project as well as the generosity of the donors.
It is a little embarrassing but nevertheless true: My mother is the President of AMIT and until last week I did not fully appreciate what that meant. From May 7-11, I was on the 2023 Groundbreakers’ Mission. Luckily for me, over the four days AMIT was on full display, with a clarity I couldn’t have predicted.
Every once in a while, I’ll come across a story that makes me proud to be a Jew. This one makes me exceptionally proud to be both a Jew and a member of the AMIT family.
A core value of AMIT is “Klal Yisroel.” We are a big tent where all members of Israeli society regardless of background, religion, and ideologic perspective, are valued and integrated into our network.
“As we approach Pesach, my wish to you is that you are as inspired by the people around you as I have been inspired by the AMIT educators I have met.”
