ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

The administrative assistant for the development department will have significant interaction with lay leadership and will provide full administrative support to the development team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• handling of monies, invoices, receipts
• thank you letters
• daily correspondence via phone calls or emails
• certificates, greeting cards
• database entries
• manage special projects on behalf of the organization
• coordinate travel, scheduling meetings and conference calls
• mailings through mail merge
• manage mailing of event invitations
• event registration

Candidate MUST have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with high level Board members and donors. Candidate must not only take initiative, but anticipate department needs in advance and meet them. The responsibility will be on the assistant to make sure events, meetings, etc., run smoothly and professionally. Assistant must not only stay on top of their own deadlines, but deadlines of the department. Candidate MUST possess a strong work ethic and be a self-starter with a high level of professionalism. The position requires someone who is extremely organized, detail-oriented, effectively multi-task, has a positive “can do” attitude, problem solver, pro-active, and set priorities and understand “the sense of urgency.” Candidate MUST have excellent computer skills that include full working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Word/Outlook/Excel and Power Point. Working knowledge of Jewish community is helpful.

Development Associate

Major Israeli organization seeks energetic professional to manage and develop college-aged and young professionals divisions and their respective boards.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Identifying and cultivating magnet leaders from both divisions
• Developing, executing and promoting diverse, innovative programming
• Running 4 to 5 events a year per division
• Facilitating board meetings
• Organizing annual and/or specialty missions to Israel for high level donors and board members

Candidate should be:

Candidate should have:
• Excellent leadership skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
• 2 – 3 years experience
