Yeshivat AMIT Tzfat Wins Prestigious SpaceLab Competition

AMIT Florin Taman Junior and Senior Hight School for Boys won the prestigious SpaceLab competition, run by the Ramon Foundation. Their project experiment will be tested in outer space! The school is located in the Northern most part of Israel, and many of the students come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Given the location of the school and some of the challenges the students and their families face, this achievement is all the more impressive. Over 100 teams participated in the competition and 17 reached the finals, of whom four were chosen as winners of the competition including the AMIT Tzfat team.

An AMIT Robotics Team Unmasks Its Potential

March and April 2020 saw the early, chaotic days of Coronavirus in Israel. The country and especially medical staff experienced a dangerous shortage of protective equipment and masks. In the south, the AMIT B’Levav Shalem Robotics Team in Yeruham decided to partner with the Yeruham Science Center to help solve the problem—by producing masks themselves.

AMIT Student Receives Minister of Education Prize for Volunteerism

The Minister of Education’s prize for volunteerism and social activism in Israel’s southern region was given to Ravid H., a 12th grade student at AMIT Kiryat Malachi. Ravid is chairman of the school’s student council and the city-wide student council. She also serves as the CEO of a company, through which she developed the All Mall application, an app to improve the user experience at malls, through a joint initiative with UniStream.
