Despite Israel’s third coronavirus lockdown, the sounds of the shofar still echoed throughout the land. That’s thanks to an enterprising and dedicated group of young women organized by Hilma, a non-profit tech organization which focuses on social good and which is supported by AMIT.
Continuing the AMIT tradition of caring for those in the community, the 12th grade students at Yeshivat AMIT B’Levav Shalem in Yerucham are helping out during these dire times. This past Rosh Hashana marked the second coronavirus lockdown in Israel. Nearly all 60 12th graders answered the call to provide aid and comfort by volunteering; in this case, they packaged about 500 food baskets for the Yerucham elderly in need.

Batsheva Zigdon, z”l, beloved AMIT teacher, wife, mother and friend, tragically passed away on October 9, 2020, the eve of Simchat Torah. A victim of COVID-19, she was 55 years old.
