Please join us in thanking the Friedman family, including AMIT’s very own Limor Friedman, for dedicating a Sefer Torah to the AMIT religious high school in Sderot.

“Our family’s sefer Torah is being dedicated to the school’s yeshiva track, a program that puts a more rigorous emphasis on Judaic studies and Torah learning. We feel that Sderot is an appropriate home for our Torah, specifically because of the story of the town. Our grandparents, Holocaust survivors, epitomized resilience, a strong desire to live and prosper and a steadfast commitment to Judaism. How fitting that a Torah in their memory be dedicated to a school in Sderot, where our youth embody these very values. We believe that they would be so proud to see the students of AMIT Sderot building strong futures for themselves in the sovereign state of Israel, despite the many challenges they face, and this is a wonderful and meaningful way to commemorate such special and beloved people.” – Limor Friedman

AMIT Kiryat Malachi – Dedicating The New Gogya Building

In an exciting ceremony last week, the newly refurbished Gogya building of AMIT Kiryat Malachi Junior and Senior High School was inaugurated with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Kiryat Malachi Municipality, and the AMIT network. Gogya, from the Hebrew word for pedagogy, is a concept of educational innovation and centers on creating opportunities in which students can learn in a way that best suits them individually.

Third Year in Row: 100% Bagrut Rate for AMIT Ulpanit for Girls, Or Akiva

According to data that was recently published by the Ministry of Education, the 2020 graduating class of AMIT Ulpanit for Girls in Or Akiva hit a 100% bagrut success rate. This is a significant achievement for a high school that doesn’t have entrance exams and accepts a wide variety of students. Having accomplished this feat for the third year in a row is even more impressive, considering the 2020 school year was particularly challenging due in no small part to the Covid-19 pandemic.
