AMIT Israel Spotlight Session #2: AMIT’s Community of Co-Ed and Secular Schools – Bridging Divides, Building Community

The AMIT Sutker Modi’in “Young Entrepeneur” team won third place last week in the international entrepreneurship competition in Belgium.

The AMIT National Education Award for Outstanding High Schools was awarded this year to AMIT Kennedy Jr. and Sr. High School in Acco and its principal, Eti Zabary.

Tomer Segev, a student at the AMIT Gwen Straus Science and Technology High School in Kfar Batya, Ra’anana, won second place in the national start-up championship this week.

In preparation for summer vacation, the principal of AMIT Kfar Ganim Yeshiva in Petach Tikva, Rabbi Hagai Gross, gave his students a challenge entitled “Connect to the yeshiva wherever you are, even during vacation”.

Daniel Silva, the No. 1 New York Times best-selling author, just released “House of Spies,” the next installment of his series featuring Gabriel Allon, the Israeli spy, assassin and art restorer. Silva appeared at an AMIT event and book-signing in New York ahead of its release, and then spoke with AMIT about the new thriller, current events, including ISIS attacks and how he’s able to figure out where they will strike next, his writing process and what he’ll be tackling in his next book, which can be summed up in one word: Russia.

The twelfth graders at AMIT Renanim Jr. and Sr. High School for girls in Raanana marked the end of their high school studies and the start of a new stage of life – army and national service – with a special “Leadership Day”.
