The AMIT National Education Award for Outstanding High Schools was awarded this year to AMIT Kennedy Jr. and Sr. High School in Acco and its principal, Eti Zabary. The selection committee based this award on the school’s educational model which stems from a deep belief in the uniqueness of each and every student, a desire to promote the values of the AMIT network, and an effort to instill a culture of discourse, listening and acceptance.

The AMIT National Education Award for Outstanding Elementary Schools was awarded to AMIT Rambam Elementary School in Beer Sheva and its principal Sharona Maymon. This school was selected because of its dedicated and unique educational effort, aimed at value-based communication which enables each student to connect through both giving and receiving.

The AMIT National Education Prize for Special Education was awarded to AMIT Hammer Jr. and Sr. High School in Rehovot, and to its principal Rabbi Rafi Maimon. The prize was received based on the school’s unique and dedicated educational activity, acceptance and inclusion of each student and the creation of a personal program for each student from the seventh to twelfth grade.

Dr. Amnon Eldar, CEO of the AMIT network, congratulated the principals, the educational staff, the city mayors and their staff, on these educational achievements: “The AMIT network views AMIT Rambam, AMIT Kennedy Acco, and AMIT Hammer as educational flagships that lead their students to achievements and excellence while educating for values. It is my hope that many more schools will follow in their path”.
