AMIT Israel Spotlight Session #2: AMIT’s Community of Co-Ed and Secular Schools – Bridging Divides, Building Community

Students from Yeshivat AMIT Kfar Ganim were invited to a special celebration of Israel’s 70th Independence Day at the President’s Residence, where they presented a unique initiative they developed as part of President Rivlin’s “Israeli Hope” program.

Students from AMIT Kiryat Malachi Jr. and Sr. High School took the top spot at the Rube Goldberg Machine Contest, beating dozens of other Israeli schools and advancing to the international competition, which will take place online.

For the second time in the past six months, students from AMIT Shachar Junior and Senior High School for Girls organized a significant chesed initiative to benefit an 80-year-old man.

Ahead of the Passover holiday, students at AMIT Hammer Junior and Senior High School for Boys transformed their school into a “chesed factory,” where they packed boxes of food and other provisions for 200 families in need.

The city of Givat Shmuel was looking for a new logo that illustrates the 70th anniversary of Israel’s independence, so it held a competition and received dozens of entries. The winning logo design came from Mor Cohen, a 7th-grader at Ulpanat AMIT Givat Shmuel.
