The discourse surrounding the character of the school of the future is usually lacking because it has to do with improving the existing model. It takes as a given basic assumptions of the past, which don’t allow us to examine in depth what kind of school we would like to have in the future.

In preparation for Yom Hazikaron, Israel’s Memorial Day for fallen soldiers and the victims of terrorist attacks, AMIT students across the country are visiting cemeteries to recite the kaddish prayer and help clean soldiers’ graves.

AMIT Hammer Junior and Senior High School for Boys won the Education Ministry’s national prize for educational excellence, beating out dozens of other schools across Israel being considered for the prestigious award.

As Israel prepares to mark Yom Hazikaron and celebrate Yom Ha’atzmaut next week, the family of Hadar Goldin, an AMIT alumnus and soldier whose remains are being held captive in Gaza, is launching a new campaign to press for greater action in getting him back.
