AMIT Nachshon Yeshiva A Moment of Kindness

At AMIT Nachshon Yeshiva in the Mateh Yehuda region, students are accustomed to a demanding schedule filled with Gemara, mathematics, and preparation for matriculation exams. But the most important lesson does not appear on any schedule.

When the 12th grade students came across a message about a bar mitzvah boy celebrating in an event hall with no guests, they stopped everything and acted.

The seniors headed to the hall and filled it with ruach, energetic dancing, and fun, lifting the bar mitzvah boy onto their shoulders for hours. They made sure to make it a truly memorable night.

Student Nadav Taibi described the emotional shift from heartbreak to joy. “When we first walked into the hall, our hearts sank. But the moment we burst into dancing circles, and the boy saw hundreds of candies being thrown toward him from every direction, his eyes lit up! I’ll never forget it.”

Rabbi Itai Weiss, head of AMIT Nachshon Yeshiva, reflected with pride: “Our students amaze us time and again. This initiative was conceived, developed, and carried out entirely by the students themselves, without any adult direction. They recognized another person’s pain, understood the urgency of the moment, and simply showed up for him. They proved that they are already leaders of the future.”
