Pasia’s Kitchen rescues surplus food and turns it into fresh meals for families in need. Inside the school, students chop vegetables, prepare soup ingredients, pack food carefully, and make sure it reaches those who need it most. But the program has become far more than a logistics operation. It is a place where students discover responsibility, purpose, and their own value.
The donors met students who are active in the project and heard how the work has shaped them, showing them the importance of gratitude, care for others, respect for resources – and the belief that no effort is too small to matter.
Elian, a student who regularly helps prepare vegetables and salads for soup, shared quietly that her involvement in Pasia’s Kitchen brought her back to school. “Being part of this makes me feel needed,” she said. “Like what I do matters.”
For the donors, it was a powerful reminder that education is not only about academics. It is about creating moments where students see themselves as contributors, not just recipients.
