AMIT Israel Spotlight Session #2: AMIT’s Community of Co-Ed and Secular Schools – Bridging Divides, Building Community

The annual heritage trip to Poland is a powerful rite of passage for Israeli teenagers, and the 11th-grade students at the Mr. and Mrs. Lester Sutker AMIT Modi’in School for Boys want to make sure that all of their classmates attend this year.

Outstanding students from two AMIT schools for girls recently took part in the Tech Women 2018 conference at the Technion, one of the world’s top science and technology research universities.

Students from the AMIT Gwen Straus school for boys recently met with Avi Blasberger, director general of the Israel Space Agency, to get his feedback on their research project for a national robotics competition.

AMIT students from several schools were chosen to take part in a special program with Google Israel called “Mind the Gap,” which aims to encourage young women to develop an interest in computer science and increase the number of women in the tech industry.

Ninth-grade students at AMIT Gwen Straus who are taking part in a unique entrepreneurship program went on a tour of the Powermat Technologies offices this week, where they met with CEO Elad Dubzinski and learned about wireless charging solutions.

A team of 16- and 17-year-olds at an AMIT Yeshiva High School in the outskirts of Jerusalem has set up a startup company to develop a wrist band that aims to help keep beach-goers safe from drowning.
