At the AMIT Elaine Silver Vocational School in Beer Sheva, the school year opened with a special chessed project for Rosh Hashana. Students at the school’s junior college spent many hours preparing 500 boxes of basic food products to help needy families with holiday preparations. Students collected the food products from donors both within and outside of Beer Sheva, and after packing everything up, they distributed the boxes throughout the city.
The school’s administration shared, “It is very exciting to begin a new school year with meaningful projects and giving back. We salute the donors for their contribution, and our students, who recognized a need and chose to spend long hours both packing and distributing the food packages to those most in need.”
