I chose to be photographed…
Near my library, because I’m use it several times a day. During the Corona period, I did not use it more times than ever, but each time it was much longer in a way that reminded me of the “arrangements” in sitting. I almost always find something new that is appropriate for my students, and I bring things to them while discussing, something that usually sweetens Bible study.
Why I chose to be a teacher
Even when I was studying in Kfar Haroeh, I decided to engage in education, mainly because of its mission. I saw that most of the Ramim in the high school yeshivas belonged to the ultra-Orthodox sector and were educated accordingly, and I wanted to change the situation.
One student – one story
I have quite a few students whose names have spread far and wide, such as Rabbi Aviya HaCohen, Dr. Yehoshua Reiss, Shuli Rand, and the Mossad head Yossi Cohen. But to my delight, all my students are very significant to me.
Inspirational character
The most influential figures are Rabbi Zvi Yehuda, Rabbi Neria, Rabbi Avraham Shapira and Rabbi Menachem Ofan.
A true teacher
A real network does not allow us to tread on the spot but requires paying, learning, and renewing. For example, I will bring the field of “Theory of Life” close to my heart. The network invests significant resources and energy to internalize that the life force and all studies – including secular studies – come from the Torah.
The world of education the day after the corona
The Corona period is extremely challenging in any subject: teaching using new tools – something that will remain in Gaza even after the end of the crisis, a different relationship with the students, a different teaching style, and more.
