Outstanding AMIT students get a taste for tech at Intel

Students from the excellence program at AMIT Eitan Jr. and Sr. High School for Boys recently toured the Jerusalem offices of Intel, the global technology company.

The boys, who are in 8th to 11th grades, got a behind-the-scenes look at the corporation and learned about the production of semiconductor chips and microprocessors. They listened to veteran tech experts talk about the future of programming and software/hardware development, as well as autonomous cars and other innovations. Then they participated in a workshop at one of Intel’s network development labs, giving them hands-on learning experience.

The excellence program at the school in Ma’ale Adumim aims to expose the students to researchers and their developments at the forefront of Israeli science and technology.

“The program enables our students to take their first steps in the world of scientific and technological research, so that they can excel and integrate into the field in the future,” said Daniel Be’eri, the school’s principal.
