In preparation for Passover, the parents, teachers and students of AMIT Wasserman High School for girls in Maaleh Adumim gathered together to pack hundreds of food items for needy families in memory of Shir Hagag, who was murdered in a terrorist attack in Armon Hanatziv two months ago.
Shir, the sister of one of the students at AMIT Wasserman, taught briefly at the school as an assistant teacher before she began her IDF service, and is remembered for all her kindness and dedication to the students.
The packaging event, which was also attended by Shir’s mother, Meirav Hagag, took place last week. At the event, the city’s Rabbi, Rabbi Mordechai Nagari, commended the participants of this special project in memory of Shir. Haggadot which were specially printed in Shir’s memory were distributed to all present, and the school choir sang moving songs in Shir’s memory.
Brenda Horowitz-Parver, the principal of the school, said: “A project of giving and helping others is the most fitting project to be done in Shir’s memory. We thank our dedicated parent’s association for leading this special initiative”.
