Two 8th-grade students from Yeshivat AMIT Amichai came in first place in a city-wide heritage contest about Rehovot history.
Yair Oren and Gabriel Dubin impressed the judges with their knowledge of their hometown, beating out representatives from all the other junior high schools in the city.
Rabbi Shimon Shushan, the school’s principal, congratulated the two boys. “I am proud of our students, who dedicated a great deal of time to studying about their home, the city of Rehovot,” he said. “The vast knowledge they acquired is an incredible accomplishment.”
