“I am an officer in a classified intelligence unit in the army, and I have to thank the wonderful staff of Yeshivat AMIT Kfar Ganim for my success.”
That is how Lt. Uriel G., an alumnus of the yeshiva, expressed his thanks to his alma mater on Teacher’s Day, which was recently marked in Israel.
Uriel returned to the school along with other alums, and they all spoke to the current students about the values and the trust that the educational staff instilled in them.
The students and alumni prepared a sumptuous breakfast for their teachers and served it to them in their break room. Alumni who could not attend the special day of recognition for their teachers recorded greetings and thanks from the army bases or yeshivas where they are currently based.
“I am proud to lead a yeshiva high school that has succeeded in creating such warm and loving ties with its students, and that imbues in them the recognition of thanks that is sorely lacking in our times,” said the school’s principal, Rabbi Hagai Gross.
