The students of the AMIT Gould Hallel Jr. and Sr. High School for Girls in Rehovot participated this year in a course on women’s empowerment. Throughout the year, the students met with leading female public figures and women in the fields of hi-tech, academia and industry. Through this course, the students acquired tools that will push them towards excellence and scientific and personal empowerment.
To conclude this year-long course, the students visited the Supreme Court last week and watched a hearing dealing with a terrorist which was presided over by Justice Esther Hayut, who is a candidate for Supreme Court Chief Justice. Afterwards, the students were taken on a tour of the Knesset. In one of the conference rooms of the Knesset, the students held a pre-planned debate about the proper use of electric bicycles.
Miri Gil, principal of AMIT Gould Hallel commented, “Throughout the year, the students, under the direction of teacher Rachel Pirayzin, acquired the tools to build an additional level of their personalities – a level of feminine and personal excellence in any field they choose.”
