The AMIT Ramle Technological High School was awarded the Education Ministry’s prize for significant chesed initiative and contribution to society among religious public schools.
Dr. Avraham Lifshitz, head of the ministry’s religious education administration, awarded AMIT Ramle Principal Itay Aharoni the prize on behalf of the entire school at a festive ceremony in Jerusalem.
Throughout the year, AMIT Ramle students take part in various social initiatives to contribute to their community and help the greater good. Just recently, students at the school undertook a project to help a girl who has cancer. They held a huge fund-raising event and with the help of the Make a Wish foundation, they renovated the girl’s bedroom.
Principal Aharoni said that the students proved they have the power to give. “They learned that true joy comes from giving to another,” he said. “That is the most important lesson they can learn.”
