AMIT Kiryat Malachi – Dedicating The New Gogya Building

The newly refurbished Gogya building of AMIT Kiryat Malachi Junior and Senior High School was inaugurated with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Kiryat Malachi Municipality, and the AMIT network.

In an exciting ceremony last week, the newly refurbished Gogya building of AMIT Kiryat Malachi Junior and Senior High School was inaugurated with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Kiryat Malachi Municipality, and the AMIT network. Gogya, from the Hebrew word for pedagogy, is a concept of educational innovation and centers on creating opportunities in which students can learn in a way that best suits them individually.

The building, which was renovated at a cost of over a million shekels ($321,000), has innovative Gogya classrooms suitable for 21st century learning, according to the AMIT network’s vision. The building has a warm and colorful atmosphere and the Gogya rooms are equipped with innovative furniture that easily switches from spaces suitable for learning in small groups to full-class learning.

The Director of the Kiryat Malachi Municipal Education Department, Dr. Avi Edri, expressed praise for both the building and the process of educational renewal. He emphasized that learning in the new structure will expand students’ knowledge while preparing them for the future.

David Hatuel, the Ministry of Education’s Superintendent of Religious Education in the Southern District, addressed the students, saying: “The large investment in this building is intended to help you succeed and I am convinced that you will do so. Be proud of your new home.”

Principal Aviad Gabay said: “I am proud to lead a dedicated, invested, and quality team, that is devoted to educational innovation. We at AMIT Kiryat Malachi invest in both school renovation and teacher training, helping our teachers adapt to the concept of educational innovation. At the end of the day, our students are the ones who enjoy the fruits of the change. Heartfelt thanks to the Kiryat Malachi Municipality and its head, Mr. Eliyahu Zohar, for the investment in the school, to the AMIT network for the guidance, support, and strategic advice throughout the years, and to Ram Zehavi, David Hatuel, and Eli Edri from the Southern District of the Ministry of Education, who are helping to build the next generation of Kiryat Malachi residents.”
