The AMIT Hammer Junior and Senior High School for Boys in Rehovot was granted the Education Ministry’s regional education award for Israel’s central district this week, making it a contender for the ministry’s national education top honor.
Over the last seven years, AMIT Hammer has undergone an incredible transformation, both in terms of the education it affords students and the personal attention it offers them. The school’s bagrut pass rate jumped from 45% to 91%, and a pre-army college was established on the school grounds to train students in electronic, computer and electrical engineering.
This year, the school also inaugurated an innovative new learning track for teaching 21st-century skills, as well as a kollel for advanced Judaic studies.
Principal Rafi Maimon thanks the staff for its dedication, saying that the school’s success is the result of their hard work and collaborative spirit in cooperation with the Education Ministry and the entire AMIT network—all of which is for the benefit of each student.
