Recently, the 8 outstanding students in the country in physics qualified for the Israeli team that is expected to compete in the Asian Physics Olympics, which will take place soon.
Two of them are Amit students: Reut Goldberg from Amit Haifa Studio, who is also the only student in the entire team, and Tamir Shapira, a student from Amit Modiin. The two are also the only representatives from the Knesset.
Reut: “I came to the Olympics a bit by chance, but in retrospect it was my best decision in life. I learned a lot, not just physics. I learned to work and invest, to manage my time for myself, and to deal with problems that seemed at first glance unsolvable. It was good for me to get a little out of the ordinary and out of my comfort zone. Of course, I will invest my best in the run-up to the Olympics, but whether I succeed or less, the tuition is already in my hands. “
Moriah Shapira, director of the Amit Haifa studio, is happy with Reut’s impressive achievement and believes that she is a symbol for other students to fly high.
Of the hundreds of students in the country who wanted to join the team, Tamir Shapira, a true Modiin student, achieved this. Shapira commented, “Being a member of the national physics team for two and a half years means a lot of training, which includes exercises, tests, labs and the investment of many learning hours. Self-discipline, perseverance, willpower and self-belief are required. When I was informed that I had been selected to be part of the delegation representing the State of Israel at the Asian Physics Olympiad, which has eight students, I was happy for the right to represent the State of Israel. I am proud and very excited for the Olympics. ” Lior Halevi, the principal of the Amit Modiin school, is happy with Tamir’s impressive achievement and believes that he is a symbol for more students to fly high. “The sky’s the limit”.

Dr. Amnon Eldar, CEO of the AMIT network said, “Reut and Tamir, like hundreds of other students in the country, invested and worked to reach the team. They will touch and find and we are proud of their success and wish them success in tackling the international arena. Amit Network considers investing in excellence in the fields of science in general and physics in particular, a significant goal and we will continue to invest in these areas.
