Classmates Raise Funds for Heritage Scholarships to Poland

AMIT Sutker Arts and Sciences High School for Boys Modiin 11th grade students took the initiative to fundraise for scholarships to enable their fellow classmates in need to participate in a meaningful heritage trip to Poland through selling arba minim (the four species) for the Sukkot holiday.

The students opened a stand at the AMIT school selling 4 minim, the profits of which will go toward this special scholarship. Yair Ben-Simon, one of the sale organizers said that every student and parent who purposes from them will be helping a student to participate in this meaningful experience alongside his peers, who otherwise would not have the means to gain such an experience.

AMIT school principal, Lior Halevi shares that the teachers were inspired by this student lead initiative “In the month of Tishrei we are seeing our students care toward others which is heart-warming.”
