Out of 400 students who applied, 29 remain, 4 of whom are AMIT students. These students will form the team that competes in 2021. During the next two years, prior to the competition they will undergo a series of intensive tests, practices, and preparatory challenges.
4 AMIT students are on Israel's National Competitive Physics Team

This past year, Israel hosted the International Physics Olympiad.

At the conclusion of the competition, the Israel Ministry of Education decided to already start priming the next national team, by reaching out to 10th grade students (in the past the students were selected from 11th grade). Over the past year, tenth grade students from around the country underwent three tests, a physics prep camp over Passover vacation as well an additional camp during summer break.

Out of 400 students who applied, 29 remain, 4 of whom are AMIT students.

These students will form the Israeli national physics team and will compete in 2021; representing Israel in two-year time. During the next two year, prior to the competition they will undergo a series of intensive tests, practices, and preparatory challenges.

Also, AMIT has one 11th- grader who is among the 27 students from across the country on the 2020 Israel National Physics Team who will be representing Israel at the international Olympiad this coming year.

The AMIT Educational Network prepares its students for entering such competitions by helping to prepare and guide its students which enables them to go far in the national physics Olympiad.

This 11th grade student at the top of AMIT’s physics team is led by Dr. Rachela Turgeman.

Because of their young age, the 10th grade students have not yet been a part of AMIT’s network-wide physics team but have had the guidance of teachers who are part of AMIT’s physics community which lead them toward being selected for the international team.

All the students who passed the screening stages have been identified by the army and advance academic institutions.
