Students from AMIT Wasserman Jr. and Sr. High School won gold at a recent national athletics competition featuring students from across Israel.
The AMIT team won the gold trophy for 9th-graders after scoring the highest and impressing the judges with their teamwork and athletic spirit throughout the competition.
The students competed in different fields, including sprints and 800-meter races, high jump and long jump, relay races, and shotput.
Elisha Peleg, the school’s principal, congratulated the students on their achievement.
“Our team won thanks to their determination, sportsmanship, and mutual support,” he said. “I am sure our students will continue to demonstrate what competitive and fair sports are, and to succeed in the future.”
