A., a graduate of AMIT Ginsburg Bar Ilan Gush Dan, recently completed his pilot’s course, which happened to be taught by another alum of the school, Capt. D.
The two AMIT graduates invited their former teacher Danny Nikritin and the school’s principal, Tomer Shuper, to the ceremony in which A. earned his wings.
Lt. A. dreamed of becoming a pilot since childhood. At his school in Ramat Gan, he stood out as a student who excelled at technology and mechanics, and also showed a great deal of determination and social awareness.
“We are proud of A., who dreamed of becoming a pilot and worked hard to make it a reality,” said Shuper. “We were also happy that D. taught him throughout the course and that both of them chose to perform meaningful service and to contribute to the state.”
Nikritin, who presently heads the education department at Hemdat Hadarom Academic College, taught A. for two years at AMIT Ginsburg Bar Ilan.
Meeting him on the tarmac at the air force base as he earned his wings was “empowering and moving,” said Nikritin. “A. and his colleagues are following a path of growth and values. I am grateful to have accompanied him along part of this route.”
