Ninth graders at the AMIT Dvir Jr. and Sr. High School in Beit Shemesh hosted the heads of the Israeli Space Agency this week. The Israeli Space Agency’s director Avi Blassberger and Space Agency consultant Avital Moyal visited the AMIT Dvir Space Exploration exhibition, which the students created after months of research and learning.

At the exhibition, the students presented the space research they had conducted. One research project was a proposal by a group of students for innovative development – a personal chip for tracking location via a satellite system, which also serves as a distress button.

The heads of the Space Agency were impressed by the students’ knowledge and creations and expressed their appreciation for the students’ hard work and for the fact that they had created awareness regarding this important subject. Israeli Space Agency Director Avi Blassberger noted that it was clear that the students’ research encompassed many different aspects of space exploration.
