AMIT Dvir Beit Shemesh took to the outdoors to learn more about the history and nature of Israel. The junior high school students hiked in the area of Ness Harim, which is in the Judean foothills near Beit Shemesh, and the senior high students hiked in Gush Etzion. As part of the experience, students in both groups took responsibility for planning the trip, food preparation and overnight lodging accommodations. An outing this early in the school year was also a perfect opportunity for team-building and forging new friendships.
