Congratulations to Etai Azaria, a 12th grade student at AMIT Wasserman Beersheva High School, who won second place in the religious education Physics Olympiad held at the Jerusalem College of Technology- Lev Academic Center (JCT) in Jerusalem. The national competition was for eleventh and twelfth-grade students taking 5-unit physics. The aim of the competition was to promote excellence among students across the country and encourage them to develop their critical thinking skills.
During the preparation for the competition, students heard lectures and engaged in various physics activities. Students heard about the programs at JCT that combine Judaic Studies and the sciences. Dr. Benny Milgrom, a professor in the Department of Electro-Opics Engineering and an alumnus of AMIT Ginsburg Bar Ilan Gush Dan, was one of the JCT faculty members who addressed the group.
Etai Azaria, who takes part in the Nachshon Excellence Program at AMIT Wasserman Beersheva, impressed the judges with his precise answers in the competition finals. AMIT Wasserman students compete in national and international science competitions regularly and have received many accolades for the achievements.
