AMIT Gould Hallel Jr. and Sr. High School for Girls joins four other AMIT schools that have advanced to the national round of the FIRST LEGO League competition after excelling at the regional stage.
The school’s robotics team will represent the city of Rehovot at the national competition set to take place at the end of February.
Sarit Salzmann, who coordinates the robotics studies in Rehovot schools, said the students demonstrated a great deal of knowledge throughout the regional competition and garnered respect—and high scores—for the robotics tasks they completed.
Efrat Zuckerman, who heads the education department for the Rehovot municipality, said they are extremely proud of the AMIT students. “They are, for all intents and purposes, the engineers of the future, and we wish them much luck in the finals.”
