AMIT Israel Spotlight Session #2: AMIT’s Community of Co-Ed and Secular Schools – Bridging Divides, Building Community

Carmel 6000 and AMIT have a whole lot in common. Both believe in the power of STEM and education. Both appreciate the enormous potential of young women. And both are determined to use said powers, to unleash said potential.

Leading up to Yom Ha’atzmaut, the staff and students at the Gloria & Henry I. Zeisel and Family Junior College at Kfar Blatt held a huge “happening” dedicated to academic excellence and technological professions, especially auto-tech.

Students from AMIT Wasserman Jr. and Sr. High School won gold at a recent national athletics competition featuring students from across Israel.

Pulling up to the sleek, glass Peres Peace House on the coast of Jaffa, the Carmel 6000 team definitely felt a little glamorous.

After a hair-raising final round, the robotics team from the AMIT Mr. & Mrs. Lester Sutker Art and Sciences Jr. and Sr. High School for Boys in Modi’in won the national FIRST Robotics Competition by beating out the other teams from across Israel.

Students from AMIT Midreshet Art and Sciences Jr. and Sr. High School for Girls recently took part in a unique “make-a-thon” aimed at creating products to help children with disabilities.
