Team AMIT raises $50K for Beit Hayeled at Jerusalem Marathon

More than 400 AMIT students, faculty members, and supporters got an early start to the day and hit the ground running at the Jerusalem Marathon, raising more than $50,000 for AMIT Frisch Beit Hayeled, a surrogate family residence serving close to 200 children from difficult and disadvantaged homes.

After two stormy days, the sun finally came out to shine on the marathon runners, including AMIT students from Petach Tikva, Jerusalem, Ma’ale Adumim, Mateh Yehuda, and Beersheva. Midreshet AMIT students, who spend their gap year in Israel and volunteer with the Beit Hayeled children, also ran with Team AMIT.

Every year, Team AMIT runs the Jerusalem Marathon in memory of Daniella Moffson, z”l, a former student at Midreshet AMIT who was tragically killed in a bus accident in Honduras in 2016.

There was great energy and excitement among the runners and AMIT supporters—all of whom came out with the mission of improving the lives of the children at Beit Hayeled. AMIT also had an official marathon tent for the first time this year, joining other notable charities and organizations.

With Purim just around the corner, AMIT is also working to make the holiday as joyous as possible for the children of Beit Hayeled. To support the Beit Hayeled Purim party, visit our website: www.amitchildren.org/bhypurimparty
