AMIT Bellows Ulpanat Noga, Beit Shemesh, has been chosen to participate in the Model United Nations project, along with 60 schools throughout Israel. Model UN is an international project that advances understanding of the functions and structure of the United Nations, and provides a forum for students to learn about diplomacy and international relations. In the context of this project, AMIT Noga Bellows students recently met with Labor Party leader Yitzhak Herzog and learned about the impact of the UN on Israeli resolutions and conflict management. The students asked Member of Knesset Herzog many questions about his political experience, plans for the future, the role of the opposition in the Knesset, and his opinion on UN involvement in the Arab-Israeli conflict. After the meeting in his office, MK Herzog accompanied the girls on a tour of the Knesset and invited them, as his guests, to observe a Knesset plenum session.
