Students from AMIT Bar Ilan High School in Netanya recently took part in a “mission” to find natural gas and oil around the world organized by the Noble Energy company.

As part of the unique initiative, 9th-graders at the school had weekly meetings with experts from Noble Energy who deal with different aspects of natural gas and oil exploration. They gave the students special lessons on their fields of expertise, including regulation, legislation, information systems, information security, finance and economics, and energy.

These experiential lessons exposed the students to a wealth of information about energy production.

During their recent final meeting, the students visited the Noble Energy offices in Herzliya, where the kids got to see a model drilling platform as well as a security room and online control center.

Rabbi Yuval Elimelech, principal of AMIT Bar Ilan, said that this program, like other special educational initiatives at the school, aims to cultivate excellence among his students.
