The opening of the school year was enthusiastically celebrated at AMIT Be’er Tuvia High School with music and dancing. It was all organized by the 12th grade students who led their first day of activities, which included a reception for the 7th grade class and a visit from notable school partners, including the Reshet and the local teacher’s union.
It was a day filled with festivities. There was a ceremony inaugurating a new teacher’s room which boasts both work and rest spaces. Kobi Avivi, a local official, thanked the educators and employees for all their work and congratulated principal Ditza Adri for the pervasive school spirit. Dr. Amnon Elder, CEO of the AMIT network, addressed the network’s involvement in the advancement of the school and said how pleased he is with efforts promoting pedagogical innovation. Because of this, many more new programs and educational initiatives are being launched.
The event was attended by Doron Hanin, Director of the Education Department, Gabi Nahum, Chairman of the Education Committee, Ran Erez, Chairman of the Teachers’ Organization Management, Panina Harosh, Chairman of the Continuing Education and Professional Development department, Alon Naftali, AMIT Deputy Director of Operations and Government Relations, and Odia Bernstein, Director of the Comprehensive High School Community.
The school is also working on building a Gogya space for innovative learning. Principal Adri noted the school has seen a 25% increase in the number of 7th graders this year, and that 30 students in other grades matriculated from other schools. “We are happy and grateful for their trust in the high school and the educational team,” said Adri.
