Andrew Goldsmith, Executive Vice President
Andy Goldsmith serves as the Executive Vice President of AMIT. In roles throughout his twenty year Jewish communal service career, he has helped maintain and build the “living bridge” between the diaspora community and Israel.
Fresh out of Law School, Andy’s career began at the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society in the midst of the great immigrant influx from the FSU where he worked to mainstream an immigrant population to American Jewry. From there he served a stint at UJA Federation of Bergen County in New Jersey where he gained the experience of building a community as Director of Planning and Allocations. He then moved onto the One Israel Fund where he connected passion for Israel to tangible betterment of people’s lives, and most recently he served as Assistant Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Yeshiva University. Liz Klibanoff, Director of Financial Resource Development
Liz Klibanoff has been with AMIT for over 15 years. In that time, she has helped to launch and develop the NewGen Leaders for AMIT initiative. Today, Liz is Director of Financial Resource Development and works to solicit major gifts and engage new donors and develop new revenue streams for the organization. Shelley Labiner, Director of Marketing & Communications
Shelley serves as the Director of Marketing & Communications at AMIT. She has spent her entire career as a marketing professional in the corporate and not-for-profit realm. Prior to joining AMIT, she was the Chief Marketing Officer at Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ for 13 years. She also served as the President of the Board of Trustees at Parent’s Place, a parent resource center. Shelley’s role is to raise the profile of AMIT, implement impactful branding, and share the amazing accomplishments of our AMIT children. Debra M. Lyman, Director of Operations
Debbie directs and coordinates the day-to-day operations as well as organizational policies to ensure effective and maximum productivity. She is also responsible for all human resource activities. Debbie has been at AMIT since 2005. Prior to that, Debbie was an administrator at a private school for 12 years. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Ohio Northern University. Karen Billet, Controller
Karen oversees AMIT’s accounting and finance department including budgeting, financial statements, 990’s, investments and coordinates finances with the AMIT network in Israel. Karen has over 25 years of combined accounting experience at various for-profit and non-profit organizations. She graduated from Brooklyn College with a B.S. in Accounting and has partially completed an MBA at Baruch College. She also has a Certificate in Management Accounting. Genene Kaye, Senior Director, Tri-State Region
Genene Kaye has nearly two decades of experience working as a non-profit professional. Prior to joining AMIT, she held similar grass-roots organizing positions at American Friends of Nishmat, Yeshiva University, UJA Federation of Northern New Jersey and The Moriah School of Englewood, NJ. In her new role, she will plan, organize and execute relevant programming in target communities in Northern New Jersey and Long Island.
Kaye received her bachelor’s degree from Stern College for Women of Yeshiva University and her master’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University, where she majored in public administration with a concentration on Jewish communal service. She can be reached at GeneneK@amitchildren.org.
